Mother’s Day Getaway

Beth Greenfield wrote a wonderful article on Mother’s Day in Seaside for She writes,”Next weekend, (May 6–8), is a great time to swoop in and check out the place, as it’s time for the 23rd annual ArtsQuest, a three-day celebration of the arts filled with concerts and exhibits—plus, there are still some gorgeous houses available for rent (not to mention a couple of rooms still left in the pitch-perfect Inn by the Sea, which has gingham-and-pastel-heavy interiors by luggage maven Vera Bradley).

The Festival Lineup is packed with jazz, bluegrass and folk shows from artists including Larkin Poe, Kelsey Anna and the Sean Dietrich Jazz Trio, plus art classes for kids and demos in weaving, painting and woodwork. Route 30A, meanwhile, is chockablock with great restaurants, boutiques, bike routes and similarly precious towns. Depending on where you’re traveling from, the new (and very conveniently located) Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport can make jetting in for the weekend a cinch.”
